Arrived in Singapore for a day and stay in Malaysia for two, went back to Singapore on the third and took a tour. Stay four more and on the fifth day, I don't want to go back home...
Singapore, the lion city. A place where the east somehow meets the west.

Flown to Singapore with only less than a month of preparation. Bought a regular ticket for an spontaneous adventure.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From manila to Singapore
By Plane: Booked a flight from Tigerair for affordable prices, try to book even a month before.
From Airport around Singapore
By Bus and MRT: Buy your EZLink card from the station inside the Airport. You can use this card for either the MRT or the Bus to take you to any destination within Singapore. The bus is the cheapest way to go around and the MRT is the fastest way. You can top-up your card at any station as well or even at the mall or multi-purpose halls.
By Cab: If you have a lot of luggage or if you're feeling too lazy, you can take a cab. Fair warning, if you're from Phil, taking a cab will really cost you a leg, might as well take a different route.
From Singapore to Malaysia
By Bus: Book your ticket from Busonlineticket to check schedule and prices. This engine is very convenient as you can choose from which terminal and time you'd want to depart and arrive. You can either pay it online or buy tickets at the terminal itself. (Tip: Buses are mostly on time, avoid being late)
MUST GO PLACES:
SINGAPORE
1. Orchard Road - Go to place if your quest in Singapore is to buy lots of clothes, accessories from luxury brands. You can choose from Louis Vuitton to Abercrombie, this road is also surrounded by hotels and restaurants plus fancy coffee shops. Don't forget to go to Mustafa to buy your pasalubongs.
2. Bugis Street - For all your low budget souvenirs and random street food, this place will empty your pockets.
3. Haji Lane - The hippies place in the city with the most colorful windows, famous photo ops place. Most shops, except for the coffee shops, opens 6PM onwards. This is a street field with authentic and hard to find stuff. Products vary from glasses to clutch, shoes to dress, socks and stationary.
4. Sentosa - The happiest place that will bring the kid out of you. Here you will find technology meets nature. Holistic Sentosa is consist of a water park, theme park and a beach. The best way to go across and around is via Cable car.

Universal Studios. You don't need to go to Los Angeles to finally experience some of your favorite movies. This place gives you the full studio feels.One whole-day is not enough to enjoy it.
Siloso beach. Somehow reflects a man made beach as the sand is at its finest. Random umbrella are pitched around the area to shade you from Singapore's scorching heat. Restaurants are all lined few feet away from the shore to serve only the best and quench those dried out throat.

Adventure cove waterpark. Time didn't allow us to experience those heart popping slides. We only had a day to spent in Sentosa, aside from the bad weather, there are a lot of people spending their holiday.
5. Clark Quay - If you're into the night life. Tiger beer and some fun, this is the place to go. Meet some new friends and enjoy the night away. You can also take a quick sling shot ride to loosen up or let the river take you on a smooth ride.
MALAYSIA
Malacca ~ Melaka
Where to stay:
Tang house (BnB) - Located within Jonker street, beside the vicinity stage.
doing your diy travel, staying at a bed and breakfast will keep your budget in tuck, besides, the ultimate purpose of travelling is submerging to the culture not staying in your room and watching tivo. As long as you have a decent bed, secure room and clean bathroom and toilet, you're all set.

MUST GO PLACES:
1. Jonker Street - Best day to visit is from Friday - Sunday, they have a night market which serves variety of street food. Stick ice candy, various maki and sushi, malaysian delicacy, tarts and a lot more. This street is filled with tasty restaurants and stalls. There are also Bike rentals.
2. A famosa fort - Remains of the Portuguese invasion in Malacca. Built in 1511, constructed by Alfonso Albuquerque. This is technically an uphill climb to reach the St. Paul church on top.

5. Melaka River - Where you can take the Mamee boat ride. It will take you from Melaka's end to end.
6. Heritage Center - Visit and learn more about Malacca and it's neighbouring cities and Malaysia as a whole.
7. Flora De la Mar Museum - This big boat docked in Malacca with get you as cat curious. It's actually a museum.
