The Porac Adventure
23:42
Up
for a whole day activity? Don’t really have much of a budget but definitely
want to have a good time. Fret not! Pampanga is here to offer you more than humid
atmosphere and sun-kissed skins, a day well spent. Either you travel via public
or private transportation, as long as you take few friends or family with you,
I assure you’ll have the time you’re dying to spend out of your dreaded metro
routine.
How to get there?
·
From
Manila – From Cubao via Partas terminal, take any bus that will pass Dau
Terminal.
Thereafter, ride
a jeep to SM clark, I recommend you eat first before going to the next
destination as they don’t really have rice meals and usually have corkage for
bringing food in. Then, look for the jeep that can take you to Alviera, just
tell them Sandbox. Approximate time travel is about 2-3hours.
From Sandbox to Poracay - Can't give you directions. We almost got lost, we drove back and forth the same route but it's too dark to see road signs and it took us almost an hour or so to get there.

Must Go Places:
«
Sandbox
From its name, it’s like a prep
school’s playground with slides, monkey bars and sand multiplied to hectares.
They have packages to choose
from and I won’t recommend visiting on weekends, you’ll spend half of your time
waiting in line. A big No, No! You can bum around like what we did, ‘coz the
weather that time was heatstroke hot. And, if you’ll take the package with
archery, don’t forget to make reservations before lazing around or they'll close up leaving you with an unused ticket.

Poracay
Don’t place your expectation
meter to Boracay, it's way far from that. It’s a resort, ok? Not a beach. The place is
really big and their rentals are massive, it’s actually like you’re in a
subdivision. The same with sandbox, they don’t have a restaurant inside, they
do have mini groceries however, it’s not 24hrs. It's a bummer coz we had to leave after an hour or so due to hunger.
